#1 2016 Grand Champion Standings

Postby XSR Race Control » Tue Jun 21, 2016 10:41 am

Welcome to the 2016 Grand Champion Standings! This is a new award we are giving out to the driver who has earned the right to be called king for a year so to speak. How it works is each championship we run through the 2016 season, across all leagues, will score points towards the Grand Champion title. Each championship win is worth 10 points, decreasing one point per position all the way to 10th which scores 1 point per championship***. Drivers who place below 10th with receive 1 point for that championship, assuming they participated in at least one event during that championship. Certain Special Events will qualify as double points towards the GC Standings. At the time of this announcement (June 21st) The only three qualifying races are the Indy 500 we completed in May and the Spa 90 which is coming up in September. The 3rd is GT3 World Championship Round 9 at Montreal. More events may be added to that list without notice. So without further ado, here are the current standings. 3 championships have been completed at this time and one Special Event has been run.

***We know that most drivers at the time of this posting show 0 points. This is because the championships they are competing in are not yet complete and final. As each championship is completed, points will be added. For the guys running GTR2, your points will show very low until November/December when we start to wrap up those seasons.***

Updated to what we believe is the current standings. We are still checking on a few things but we believe these are the correct standings. You will be notified if it changes before the next championship scheduled to end concludes or special event is run.

the 2016 Grand Champion Standings have been updated following the conclusion of the RFactor Toyota Atlantics and SCE RD Clio Cup championships. Lots of movement in the standings at this update. AT this time there are only 7 more updates to come.
