#1 Setting Up Your Install(s)

Postby Mongoose » Sun Jul 07, 2013 11:21 am

This is really simple to do so that everyone can enjoy some good hard racing. just follow the steps below to have an install thats ready for our servers.

1) make a clean install from the gtr2 disk
2) Download >>THIS FILE<< (Firefox users need to Right Click>Save Link As to save file)
3) Extract the archive to the desktop
4) Go into XSR_Patches_2014 FOLDER and drag all files inside to your new install's root folder
5) Allow all overwrites
6) Delete the shortcut the gtr2 installer made for you, open your root folder and right click gtr2wx.exe and Send To DESKTOP. This is the shortcut you will now be using to load your league install of gtr2.
7) Sit back and enjoy some racing

Some leagues may not require this particular file or this setup. All leagues will require at least the v1.1 patch and the online lobby patch. Refer to your league or ask your league admin if you have any questions on setting up your install(s)

As an option, there is a HUD upgrade called "GTR2MapPlugin and XD" by fazerbox available at NoGrip:

It is not required, but can be very handy on long tracks.

Also, here is the advanced garage mod:

Again, not required, but can be handy.
Flip your ride, not your finger.

Even gives you 7th gear on cars that have it. variable final drive, lots of settings that were once hidden.
Flip your ride, not your finger.
